FREE movies at the Library this summer

Check your local Library for FREE family movie nights over the summer.  Gritters Library in Cobb is offering G and/or a PG movie every Monday night in June and July at 5 PM.  Check your local library and bring a pillow, blanket and snack for a fun and FREE evening for everyone.

Museums on Us weekend is June 2nd and 3rd, 2012. five BELoW is opening 7 locations this weekend in the metro Atlanta area.  It's looks like a dollar store with everything  under $5.  The ad is offering $ .05 hot dogs (limit 3 per person) from 2 - 6 PM on Friday and 11 - 2 PM on Saturday .  There are FREE tee shirts Friday, Saturday and Sunday with any purchase, while supplies last.  Radio stations and special appearances from Atlanta Braves this weekend June 1 - 3rd, 2012.

FREE Home Depot Kids Workshops

Home Depot Kids Workshops have been one of our favorite things to do for years.  The FREE workshops are offered the 1st Saturday of every month from 9 - noon, nationwide. Add the dates to your calender even when you are traveling.  The orange aprons are light and easy to pack. It is great fun to see how many states we can do Home Depot Kids Workshops in. The kids earn a pin for their smock, and have gained confidence in handing tools and completing a useful project that often make great gifts.  If they don't offer a painting station at the store we go to our girls have enjoyed coming home and working on the back porch and painting their projects.   Upcoming summer 2012 dates are: June 2, July 7th and August 4th.

Muppets playing FREE at Outdoor Movie Series

The Muppets are Coming to Swift - Cantrell ParkThe City of Kennesaw's Outdoor Movie Series at Swift-Cantrell Park continues on Saturday, June 2 with a FREE showing of Disney's The Muppets (rated PG) on a giant inflatable screen. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring a blanket or comfortable low-back chair. A selection of food, beverages and snacks will be available for purchase. Arrive at 6 p.m. for children's activities, inflatables, and giveaways. The film will begin at dark. Parking is available at Swift-Cantrell Park, which is located at 3140 Old 41 Highway, and at Kennesaw Elementary School.
